The UWS FW-48-DS-D-BLK Black 48-inch Driver Side Fenderwell Box with Drawer Slide is designed to change that. A truck-specific, multi-compartment storage solution, it is designed to provide access to items both from the exterior driver's side of truck bed rails and at the rear of the truck when the tailgate is down. The unit sits on top of the fenderwell and stretches back to the interior edge of the tailgate, utilizing this space extended back on a level plain to the tailgate, for a single door top compartment suited for a variety of larger tools. In addition, the space between the curved rear edge of the fenderwell back towards the tailgate on a level plain, is used for three vertically aligned sliding drawers, perfect for smaller tools, parts and more.

Its 0.063-inch aluminum tread plate construction features fully welded seams that will not rust even in the toughest of weather conditions, and its black powder coat finish is a suitable base for users who may want to paint the box to match their truck's primary color. The lid of the box -- which sits 4-inches above bed rails -- is beveled, resulting in fewer sharp edges and a cable is integrated into its underside that connects to the box, holding the lid open at just over 90-degrees using gravity. The three drawers accessed at the rear are integrated into zinc-plated sliding hardware that ensure smooth movement regardless of weather conditions and include dividers that can be used to organize small items. Once items are loaded in the box's compartments, patented MicroSeal stripping along the contact points between lid and box help to seal out moisture, dust and dirt.
