Best Of Show Wax: For Maximum Color, Depth, and Clarity

Of the three factors used to judge paint, clarity is the most important. Lack of clarity can be caused by cheap silicones, poor chemistry, and inferior waxes and sealants. Best Of Show Wax, on the other hand, is formulated with the finest Brazilian white carnauba, which produces amazing color, depth, and clarity. With very little effort, you’ll achieve about three months of protection and a concours-worthy shine (just ask the 2009 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance Best of Show winner).

A Winning Shine In Four Easy Steps

• Step 1 – Start with a clean, dry car. Remove embedded contaminants from your paint with Griot’s Garage Paint Cleaning Clay.
• Step 2 – If desired, polish to remove fine scratches and swirl marks with a Griot’s Garage 6” Random Orbital, Machine Polishes, and an Orange Foam Polish Pad.
• Step 3 – Apply Best Of Show Wax with a 6” Random Orbital (or by hand) and Red Foam Wax Pad. Because of its high carnauba content, a little goes a long way. Work Best Of Show Wax into the paint in a cross-hatch pattern. Once the entire car has been waxed, allow it to cure for a few hours, until the wax can be buffed off without streaking.
• Step 4 – Use a soft cloth to buff off wax to a deep shine. TIP: If wax is difficult to remove, you may have used too much wax during application. Remember, a little goes a long way. To make it easier to buff off the wax, simply mist Griot’s Garage Spray-On Wax onto the surface, and the wax should remove much more easily.
