Standard Thrust Cam Bearings Type 1 Based Engines 111-198-541BR are a stock set of cam bearings that are fine to use for stock rebuilds. One thrust bearing is easier to setup and build with and less expensive too! Proper bearing installation is very important! Install the bearings into the case and then install the camshaft. Next tap the cam fore and aft end to end using a soft piece of wood or a brass drift and use some force. This seats the bearing properly into the case. Repeat this 4-5 times back and forth.
