The Synapse Synchronic Wastegate is a fundamentally new concept that incorporates their patented actuator technology to give you more tunability than you thought was possible with a wastegate. You can produce a minimum of six different boost pressures on the same spring, without a boost controller. The Synchronic Wastegate is the ONLY wastegate on the market that eliminates the diaphragm, and gives you the ability to control flow with up to 15 built-in boost settings, ranging from 4 to 25 psi of boost!
Fine tuning the boost level is also available via the preload adjuster. All Synchronic wastegates now come with 2 preload springs and 2 main springs to suit a wider range of boost levels right out of the box. The 40mm Synchronic wastegate ships with a 40lb spring installed in the valve and one extra 60lb spring for high boost. All wastegates also come with 2 different diameter valve seats to combat boost taper/creep, and a high temperature, high pressure sealing ring for installation without having to use gaskets. The one piece valve forged from tooling-grade crucible steel is designed for a low coefficient of thermal expansion. It has also been coated with nitride which has resulted in a significant reduction or elimination of chemical deposition on the valve surface, and a higher surface hardness.
