Color

The "Ultra-White" color of the Alfas Maximum Intensity line have been fine-tuned by experimenting with different combinations of gases, bulb finishes and specialized filaments. Alfas emit a pure white light that is rated at 5500K. Brightness

OE/Factory bulbs vs. Alfas bulbs

Alfas Maximum Intensity bulbs offer brightness levels that will exceed the vehicle's factory installed OEM halogen bulbs. This brightness level is achieved by using a high quality tungsten filament from Japan that safely emits upwards of 120 watts of light. Alfas bulbs also have a transparent top. By removing the paint at the top of the bulb 10% more light is emitted. Alfas are also manufactured using quartz glass. Quartz is more transparent than normal glass. This results in even more light emission from the bulbs. The Alfas wiring harness uses heat resistant 14 Gauge wires. This helps reduce any resistance between the vehicles existing socket and the Alfa bulb. The result is even more of an increase in brightness. Standard OE bulbs output about 1000 lumens of light, whereas the Alfas Maximum Intensity's are capable of outputting upwards of 2300 lumens.

Longevity

Alfas Maximum Intensity bulbs have a life expectancy of around 800 hours. 800 hours of bulb use exceeds any aftermarket high performance bulb on the market and is comparable to the life expectancy of stock bulbs. This long life expectancy is achieved by limiting power consumption and therefore controlling the heat of the filament. The less amount of heat a filament endures the longer it will burn with light. Alfas also use a special combination of pressurized Xenon, Halogen and Argon. When the filament excites the gas, it results in increased brightness without an increase in heat. This helps increase the life of the filament. Alfas Maximum Intensity's are also backed by a 30 day limited warranty.

Safety

Alfas Maximum Intensity's are able to maintain safe heat levels because they are limited to drawing a maximum of 85 watts of power. Alfas utilize special tungsten filaments that were specially designed for Alfa specifications. These are filaments that emit more light with comparatively less heat. This special filament allows the bulbs to shine brighter - not hotter. The quartz glass that is used can also be subjected to higher temperatures without shattering. Removing the paint on the top of the bulbs also resulted in a significant reduction in the heat produced. The 14 gauge wires that reduces resistance also reduces heat transfer. In addition, Alfas use a unique ceramic socket that helps isolate heat so there is no risk of an Alfa bulb damaging the vehicles existing electrical installations. Alfas will not melt a vehicles original light socket. The result is a safe product for the consumer and their vehicle.
