Saves memory settings from under the hood. Takes the place of traditional memory savers that use the power outlet, which no longer provides protection on newer vehicles since the outlet is switched. Without a battery attached, use the unique wire insulation-piercing tip on the red (positive clamp) to connect the memory saver to the main positive battery cable. Connect the black clamp to a ground source. The light will illuminate to indicate proper connection. Clamps can also be used on the back of the battery terminal connector. Connect a fully charged 9 volt battery (not included) and the vehicle is protected. Cord is 3 feet long.
