The properties of P.T.F.E. make it a natural choice for use in highly corrosive applications like automotive brake fluid. PTFE also works well for hot oil, power steering, automotive air conditioning, gauge lines, as well as nitrous oxide lines. This stainless braided hose will take high pressures and cycles over and over without failure.

During manufacturing P.T.F.E. powder is extruded into a smooth bore tube product. The tube is then fed into a machine that weaves stainless steel wire into the familiar braided pattern. Prior to shipping the hose is inspected 100% and any flawed sections are discarded.

As a rule of thumb when selecting an A-N hose to replace a given size automotive hose, the dash size is the nominal size in 1/16". For example; -8 A-N, is 8/16" or equivalent 1/2" automotive hose. The AN hose, however, will be slightly smaller due to the wall thickness of the hose. Please reference the chart on the specifications tab for the nominal inside diameter of the hose you are interested in.
