"Hammerite RustCap is a self-priming, rust preventive coating designed to provide long-lasting metal protection. It provides a decorative finish that resists corrosion and the damaging effects from moisture. It is ideal for interior and exterior applications. The surface must be clean, free of dust, grease, wax, peeling paint, mold and mildew. Scrape off loose paint and rust with a wire brush and sand to a smooth surface. On glossy surfaces, for maximum adhesion, scuff sand the surface thoroughly. Eye protection is recommended. Apply using brush, roller or sprayer. Use in well-ventilated area when temperature is between 60 degrees F and 80 degrees F and humidity is below 60% to ensure proper drying. Mix paint thoroughly before and during application. Always maintain a wet edge, but avoid over-brushing, over-rolling or over-spraying. Apply with a quality synthetic bristle brush or a high quality 1/4'" nap Mohair roller cover. Dries to touch in approximately 90 minutes. Clean all tools, equipment and paint spatters with xylene or lacquer thinner. Aluminum and galvanized surfaces require a prime coat of Hammerite Galvanized and Aluminum Primer. One step and the rust is history, no primer needed. Great for patio furniture, yard ornaments, swing sets, wine rack, lawn mower, tools, lamp post, mailbox, fence, bicycle, toolbox, auto frames and wheels, hardware and much more."
