Perma-Coil Spark Plug thread repair kits provide a durable, permanent repair for stripped spark plug ports that is actually 50% stronger than the original threads. There is no need to drill out the original threads because the supplied self-piloting reamer/tap automatically enlarges the hole and threads it to accept the insert which restores the thread to the original size. DO NOT use Perma-Coil wire spark plug inserts to repair taper seat spark plug ports.
