Tech tips The purpose of the muffler bearing kit is to stabilize or limit vertical and lateral movement of original equipment rubber muffler hangars. This is accomplished without sacrifice of the vibration dampening or shock absorbing attributes of the original rubber muffler insulators. Step 1. Replace existing rubber muffler insulators with muffler bearings. Step 2. Insert one bolt and nylon lock nut through each muffler bearing and tighten all four evenly to a point where movement of the muffler begins to diminish. Step 3. Continue to tighten each of the four pinch bolts evenly until satisfactory control of the mufflers movement is achieved. Important: Do not completely restrict movement by over-tightening. Size: N/A
