It features a 4.5 horsepower series wound motor and automatic load holding brake which accounts for great strength as well as security. The winch can withstand a working load limit up to 8500 lbs. It also includes cam action freespooling clutch for fast wire rope pay out and a quiet, efficient, full metal 3-stage planetary gear box. Sealed solenoids, Durable handheld rubber remote switch and heavy duty powder coated hawse fairlead makes it a completely dependable winch. Superwinch warrants its LP8500 series winch to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two years.
