Additional features include: single tub aluminum construction, a foamed lid with a beveled exterior, a stainless steel paddle handle, moisture and dust seals and self-closing gas stuts that support the lid.

3.3 Cubic Feet of Storage for Canine Accessories

The UWS 34" tracking collar box is designed for receational and professional dog owners and handlers who want a dedicated and secure storage area in which to transport small canine accessories such as tracking collars, whistles, training dummies, leashes and leads. The box provides 3.3 cubic feet of storage for these items in a compact 33" (w) x 36" (d) x 6-1/2" (h) space constructed of 0.063" aluminum. It is designed to complement the UWS line of pickup truck-based southern and northern dog boxes by conveniently attaching to their tops (hardware sold separately), and blending into their exteriors with a matching standard silver, or black powder coat finish, both with a raised tread plate pattern. The tracking collar box can also be used without mounting it, and/or for storage of any type of small items.

Once installed, the box is designed for ease of use and dependable protection of stored items. The box's 0.063" aluminum tread plate contours provides incidental traction, and its beveled edges minimize sharp surfaces. The body of the box features fully welded seams at all metal on metal contacts. This makes it durable enough to take whatever treatment the elements, and your dog can dish out. Its lid is supported by interior struts that both hold it open and slowly close it with just a slight push or pull. This makes it easy to load, even when hands are occupied with leashes and leads. Once items are loaded in the box, moisture, dust and dirt are kept out by the lid's MicroSeal stripping that makes contact with the box when the lid is closed. A foam element -- also within the lid -- inhibits bending and warping of the aluminum, which can otherwise prevent a correct seal over time. The box is secured when closed by a corrosion-resistent stainless steel paddle handle built into its front, and two keys are included with each box.
