The unit consists of a 45-gallon L-shaped transfer tank, with a 7.0 cubic foot single-lid tool chest welded to the inner angle of the tank. Additional features include: dual-grade durable aluminum construction, a vented tank cap, compatibility with a variety of pumps (sold separately), internal tank baffles, an insulated gas strut controlled lid, a beveled and notched chest design, dual locking chest paddle handles and integrated mounting flanges.

Non-flammable Liquid Storage and a Tool box in One Unit

The UWS product line of TT-combo transfer tanks is a combined liquid and tool storage solution for working pickup trucks that also maximizes the efficient use of cargo capacity in truck beds. The TT-50-combo features a 50-gallon L-shaped transfer tank, with a 7.0 cubic-foot tool chest welded to the inner section of the tank's L-shape. Together the two pieces' form a rectangular shape measuring 36" (l) x 32" (w) x 22" (h). The transfer tank section of the TT-50-combo is suitable for transporting non-potable water and non-flammable liquids,* including diesel fuel, to work sites, and farm locations. The tank is constructed of rugged and corrosion-resistant .125" gauge aluminum with raised treadplate texture, and features welded seams throughout. There are two threaded holes along the tank's top. One of these is for a commercial-grade tank cap (included), which serves to both secure the contents of the tank, while also relieving the build-up of pressure within it. Relief of pressure is important when the tank is used to transport diesel fuel, which is combustable under pressure. (The tank should never be connected to a vehicle's fuel system for use as an auxiliary tank, and it is not suitable for safe use in transporting gasoline) The second threaded hole is designed to accept a variety of pump types (sold separately), which can be used to conveniently dispense liquids. The internal structure of the tank contains baffles to minimize sloshing of liquid contents when a vehicle is in motion, while a drain plug at the driver's side allows for easy flushing of the tank.

The tool box portion of the TT-50-combo is constructed of 0.063" aluminum alloy, with welded seams. It provides 7.0 cubic feet of storage in a 36" (l) x 24" (w) x 14" (h) compartment. The lid of the box is beveled along its edges to minimize sharp edges and it is notched along the edge adjoining the transfer tank, which allows the lid to open to 90 degrees without touching the tank. A centrally-oriented inner gas strut opens and closes the lid with a slight push or pull. Once items are loaded in the box, moisture, dust and dirt are kept out by patented MicroSeal stripping while a foam element along the interior of the lid inhibits bending and warping of the aluminum which can prevent a correct seal over time. Two paddle locks, with two included keys allow for maximum security regardless of where the box is used, and a connecting rod enclosure inside the box helps prevent box contents from bending or jamming the locking system. The tank is bolted to the truck bed and the internal side rails with integrated mounting flanges (mounting hardware sold separately).
