Named after the famous snow-capped volcano in Tanzania, the renowned Kilimanjaro jacket, now in its fourth generation, was created for a life of extreme riding. From the dry scorching heat of the African summer, to the continents short, but incredibly wet monsoon season, the Kilimanjaro is built to persevere. In terms of protection, all Firstgear textile jackets employ Hypertex, an effective combination of abrasion-resistant synthetic materials. To ensure the ultimate in protection should you find yourself sliding down the road, all textile jackets are double stitched using the best five-ply nylon thread available. All Firstgear textile jackets also feature CE-approved armor in the elbows and shoulders, the two most commonly impacted areas of your body.
