100 Gallons of Truck-based Storage for Non-flammable Liquids

The UWS TT-100-L-T/P 100 L-shaped aluminum transfer tank is designed for transporting water and non-flammable liquids in pickup truck beds. The tank has a 100-gallon capacity, and is constructed of durable, corrosion-resistant .125" gauge aluminum with welded seams throughout. Its dimensions are 59-1/2" (l) x 31" (w) x 24" (h), with the tank measuring in at 9" thick along the horizontal and vertical planes of its L-shaped design. The L-shaped body is a space-saving feature that allows the tank to carry its full payload while minimally impacting the cargo capacity of the pickup it's used with. The tank is intended to sit within a user's full-sized truck bed, flush against the back of the cab, and in front of wheel wells. This minimizes wasted space at contact points within the truck bed, and allows for storage of items along the sides of the tank or even on top of it. Storage possibilities on top for the tank are further maximized by its compatibility with the the UWS product line of TCB-CB storage chests, which fit precisely within the open "L" section of the tank without extending past the overall dimensions of the transfer tank.

Ease of Installation and Use

The transfer tank has integrated mounting flanges oriented along its bottom edge. The flanges allow the tank to be bolted to the truck bed, which ensures that it will remain secure during transit (mounting hardware sold separately). Once installed, the tank is designed for ease of use. There are two threaded holes along the tank's top. One of these is for a commercial-grade tank cap (included), which serves to both secure the contents of the tank, while also relieving the build-up of pressure within it. Relief of pressure is important when the tank is used to transport diesel fuel, which is combustable under pressure. (The tank should never be connected to a vehicle's fuel system for use as an auxiliary tank, and it is not suitable for safe use in transporting gasoline) The second threaded hole is designed to accept a variety of pump types (sold separately), which can be used to conveniently dispense liquids at work sites. The internal structure of the tank contains baffles to minimize sloshing of liquid contents when a vehicle is in motion, while a drain plug at the driver's side allows for easy flushing of the tank.
