KMS Ultimate Valve Train Package! A set of new Dual Racing Springs, Titanium Retainers, Coated Stainless Steel Racing Valves, Valve Guide seals, and a blockguard. Racing Spring Features: * Dual Springs are high-strength chrome silicon * Seat pressure of 85 psi * Perform reliably up to 11,000 rpm * Great for racing applications Titanium Retainer Features: KMS titanium retainers are the perfect balance between strength and lightweight design desired for high rpm, high rev applications. Retainers are CNC-machined to exacting tolerances from the strongest aerospace quality titanium. Designed and manufactured in-house at our product development facility in Georgia, so we can provide a consistent, high-quality retainer at a better price. Blockguard Features: * CAD design and CNC milled from 6061 Aluminum * Turns an open deck into a semi- closed deck * Machined coolant passages in key areas to promote critical coolant flow, particularly where cylinders join * Fits turbo or NA engines. * Machined to be slightly oversized to compensate for the cylinder "walk" flaw common in open-block designs Valve Features: * One piece forged stainless steel, SAE EV8 (UNS S63008) * Heat treated to obtain hardness and ductility for street performance or racing * Black Nitrided hardening treatment--very popular for Japanese applications The nitrided layer adheres to the base material at a microscopic level and does not flake or break when the valves bend due to impacts with the pistons The micro hardness is higher than the stainless steel base material, keeping good ductility beneath the hard nitrided layer (micro hardness is 800HV minimum) * Surface finish is smoother than chromed stems--that means less friction between stem and guide * Valve seat surface is harder with the nitrided layer--that means they last longer with lead free fuels, alcohols, nitro or other explosive mixes * Complete set: Includes 8 intake and 8 exhaust valves. All valves are brand new.
