KMS Stage 1 Valve Train Package for B16/18 GSR Series Engines A set of new Stainless Steel Racing Valves, Dual Racing Springs, Chromoly Retainers, OEM Valve Guide Seals, and a Blockguard. Racing Spring Features: * High-strength chrome silicon Dual Springs * 85 psi seat pressure * Reliable performance to 11,000 rpm * Great for racing applications Chromoly Retainer Features: * Perfect for daily-driven vehicles. * More durable & reliable than factory retainers.. * Good for high performance springs. * CNC Machined to exact tolerances. * American made - designed & manufactured at our product center in Georgia. KMS chromoly retainers are the perfect balance between strength and lightweight design desired for high-rpm, high-rev applications. Blockguard Features: * CAD design and CNC milled from 6061 Aluminum * Turns an open deck into a semi- closed deck * Machined coolant passages in key areas promote critical coolant flow, particularly where cylinders join. * Without these coolant passages, other brand block guards may create destructive hotspots around the cylinders * > Fits turbo or NA engines. * Machined to be slightly oversized to compensate for the cylinder "walk" flaw common in open-block designs Valve Features: * One piece forged stainless steel * Heat treated to obtain hardness and ductility for street performance or racing * Surface finish is smoother than chromed stems--that means less friction between stem and guide * Matches any seat (nodular iron, steel powder metal, hard aluminum-copper, or beryllium copper) * All valves are swirl polished, have stem undercut and a hardened tip * Complete set of brand new valves: 8 intake and 8 exhaust.
