You can also find out if you car will pass the smog test before you take it in! CarChip Pro with Alarm records every second of every trip, up to 300 hours of driving data! Sort miles by type, business or personal miles, set thresholds for alarms, calculate gas mileage, and lots more! You can view all of this graphically on your computer screen, giving you a moment-by-moment picture of how you (or your employees or kids!) are driving! If the vehicle's check engine light (also known as a malfunction indicator light or MIL) comes on, you'll be able to: CarChip Pro with Alarm includes the data storage - up to 300 hours of driving data. (The actual number of hours will vary, depending on how frequently you log data. When full, CarChipPro "rolls over" and begins to overwrite the oldest data with the newest.) It also provides user-settable alarms for speed, hard braking, and quick acceleration. If you're unfortunate enough to be involved in an accident, CarChipPro will automatically generate an accident log showing the last critical 20 seconds of speed.
