The Generator or Alternator is connected to the motor, either through a gear, belt, chain or cush-drive arrangement, and rotates as the engine turns, producing current to charge the battery.
As with all electrical components, a used Generator or Alternator is tested for proper performance before being placed into inventory. Due to the location of this item on the motorcycle, cosmetic imperfections on the housing is considered normal wear, but the Generator will be fully functional with good brushes and clean electrical connections.
