This kit is designed to be a complete, universal kit covering vehicles having a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). The monitor has a graphical interface that allows use of the tool with little or no knowledge of TPMS. The DIAGNOSTICS feature is designed to be used as a sensor pretest, as well as for diagnosing sensors. Simply entering the vehicle Make-Model-Year selects the correct communication path to the vehicle sensor. This allows for the testing of each sensor by activating and receiving the sensor data for analysis. Pretesting the sensors before any work is done to the vehicle helps to determine if a sensor needs to be replaced, upfront, with the customer. This feature also displays information such as sensor ID number, tire pressure, and sensor mode, helpful in diagnosing problems with the TPMS. The RESET PROCEDURE provides the capability to turn off the illuminated tire pressure monitor dash light. This procedure is also required when any of the aforementioned procedures are done to the vehicle. By simply entering the Make-Model-Year, the display will lead the user to the correct section of the manual to reference for the vehicle entered. The display will then provide instructions and graphical displays to walk the user completely through the reset procedure, quickly and easily.
