All of our Short Blocks are completely remanufactured to exacting tollerances utilizing state of the art equipment. All blocks and crankshafts are thermally cleaned then shot blasted, all core components are then magnafluxed to confirm their integrity prior to moving to their machining departments, all connecting rods are chemically cleaned then checked for straightness and integrity. The block is bored to the next available size and honed to an exacting crosshatch to ensure proper oil control. The crankshaft rod and main journals are ground to the next available size, all oils holes are chamferred and the journals are polished to a micro finish. The new pistons are hung on the rods utilizing gas heat, the rings are installed with pliers (Not Spiraled), the short block is then assembled with New Rod and Main Bearings, Cam Bearings, Freeze Plugs and Galley Plugs, Camshaft and Timing Components. The short block assembly is then Simm's tested where we confirm oil pressure and flow at multiple RPM's, we also verify the rear main seal and oil galley plugs are not leaking The engine is double bagged and crated for shipping.
