DON'T BE CONFUSED BY IMMITATIONS SOLD BY OTHER CORVETTE PARTS VENDORS FOR LESS MONEY 1. The fan switch is a Chinese knock-off of the "old Weather Pack style" fan switch. 2. The fan switch connector is a Chinese knock-off of the Delphi/Packard Weather Pack 1-Way connector. 3. The terminal appears to be an OE piece. However, it is the wrong gauge size for the two wires that are crimped into it. This situation can cause easy wire pull out. We removed the terminal from the connector and found that the cable seal was torn which could cause water/contaminant intrusion. The terminal was crimped improperly with a hand crimper and do not meet OE specs. 4. The cable is incorrect because it doesn't meet the OE/SAE specifications for under-the-hood usage. It will not hold up to heat, oil, fluids, etc. , -85-89 with B4P, 90-95 All. -Lowers engine coolant temperature -Maximizes engine performance , The stock C4 Corvette cooling system runs inherently hot. GMP has the solution. We offer electric cooling fan switches in four different temperature ranges. The switches will turn on the main fan, auxiliary fan or both at a lower temperature. Lower coolant temperatures will maximize engine performance and reduce engine wear. Each kit comes complete with switch, harness, hardware and instructions for easy installation. 244455 and 244074 switches are recommended for stock applications. 244198 and 244381 switches are recommended for highly modified cooling systems and/or off-road use only.
