SS Braided cover spark plug wires were used on big block cars with an AM/FM radio. This was used in conjunction with your ignition to help radio interference. Big blocks without a radio used spark plug wires without brading and no ignition shielding. Electrical components such as wires are non-returnable parts. Always refer to a factory service manual when diagnosing engine service problems. You can damage electrical components if the proper procedures are not followed.
