When used in tandem with the PERRIN Fuel injector modification and aftermarket electronics the "Big MAF" intake will allow the user to tune an aftermarket ECU safely and accurately. Add resolution in fuel maps and load columns, compensate air fuel ratio, idle, and wide open throttle maps.The PERRIN Performance Big MAF intake system is designed to prevent the Mass Air Flow output value from being pegged on heavily modified WRX engines. When using the factory MAF sensor and adding large amounts of boost the stock MAF sensor will max out and not allow additional compensation for air flow.PRECISION CONSTRUCTIONPerrin's intakes are constructed from aluminum tubing which is precision CNC mandrel bent for consistent and perfect fitting parts. The MAF sensor bung is CNC machined for perfect fit and alignment of MAF sensor to intake. This is crucial for proper air fuel ratios and ECU engine management.COLOR CHOICESPERRIN intake systems are powder coated with a wrinkle finish to match your STI intake manifold and/or PERRIN Front Mount Intercooler tubes.
