The Edelbrock Shorty Header has outstanding performance features such as mandrel-bent tubes and laser-cut flanges or die-stamped flanges for a great look. They are 50-state legal direct replacements for stock manifolds, making for a simple installation using the factory crossover pipe. They are made of a durable 16-gauge mild steel and are finished with a ceramic coating. The headers provide each cylinder with its own mini exhaust pipe, which means exhaust headers prevent the back pressure that occurs in a common exhaust manifold. The restrictive tube is often replaced with individual headers which are tuned for low restriction and improved performance. The diameter of the primary tube is 1-5/8, the collector diameter is 2.500 and the flange thickness is 3/8.
