The Edelbrock Sound Deflection Technology Muffler is the latest in exhaust equipment. The chambered design manipulates sound waves while allowing the engine to breathe. Their cases are made from aluminized steel with no packing material to deteriorate or blow out. The Ti-Tech coating features a C-105 titanium satin finish for heat stability up to 1,600 degrees Fahrenheit. As the exhaust enters the muffler, the sound travels through the entry chamber and into the resonator chamber where it's reflected back out into itself, lowering the sound level. The exhaust then passes from the entry chamber and into the parabolic sound deflection chamber via an intermediate tube. Inside, the parabolic sound deflectors are designed so that the incoming sound wave energy is redirected back upon the incoming sound waves, reducing exhaust noise significantly. The end result is a powerful and throaty sound that produces more horsepower than the most popular chambered mufflers on the market. They are oval in shape with a single inlet and outlet of 2.000 inch diameter.
