In most applications, the TH-700-R4 transmission is set to kickdown from fourth to third anytime there is more than half throttle, making it impossible to cruise at high speeds while in overdrive. This kickdown kit changes that setting, and prevents the forced part throttle kickdown until there is 3/4 throttle.
