This B&M transmission shield is designed to offer protection in case of a drum explosion, and is SFI approved to SFI 4.1 specifications. It is made from a red finished 6061-T6 aluminum alloy for high strength without a lot of weight, and it includes all the necessary hardware. The belly strap allows installation of a shifter cable bracket, and two sets of mounting holes allow it to fit both deep and standard pans. Designed for a precise fit to facilitate easy removal and installation, this shield goes off and on quickly. A pem nut on the right side allows a dip stick tube to be bolted to the shield, and additional clearance has been added to the cooler fitting location for installation of quick release fittings.
