Features and Benefits
ACDelcPerformance Brake Rotors and Friction are designed with police applications in mind. When driving is more than just a means of getting to and from work it is your work.

ACDelcPerformance Brake Rotors
Contain specific vane configurations allowing for increased air flow and optimal heat dissipation. Have a polymer binding coating that acts as armor against the elements. Use damped iron metallurgy, helping to reduce noise, vibration and dissipate heat.

ACDelcPerformance Brake Pads
Rubberized abutment clips (quiet clips). Chamfers and slots match up with OE applications to offer some of the same characteristics as the Original Equipment brake pad. Nucap Retention System (NRS) backing plates where possible. Constrained shim with ACDelco logo. Police Pads are specially designed to meet the requirements of police and fleet vehicles. Tested by the National Institute of Justice and Michigan State Police.

Function & Signs of Wear
Find out more about ACDelcPerformance Brakes and how they fit into the Brakes System with the product facts below.

Brake Rotor:
FUNCTION: A rotating disc helps slow or stop the vehicle when the brake pads press against its surface (disc brakes)
SIGNS OF WEAR: Brake pedal pulsation (not to be confused with normal ABS operation), squealing or grinding noise, low brake pedal height, vehicle pulls to the left or right when brakes are applied

Brake Pads:
FUNCTION: Flat pads with frictional materials contact the rotor to help slow or stop the vehicle (disc brakes)
SIGNS OF WEAR: Chirping, grinding or squealing noise, difficulty stopping the vehicle

Did You Know?
When you step on your brake pedal, you command a stopping force 10 times as powerful as the force that puts the car in motion. The brakes system can exert as much as 1,000 pounds (450 kg) of hydraulic pressure on each of the four brakes.

What It Does
The Brake System applies frictional force the wheels to slow or stop the vehicle.

Service & Maintenance
The following inspections and maintenance procedures can help prevent potential brake problems:
Check brake fluid level at every oil change. Replace fluid according tOwner's Manual recommendations.
Calipers and wheel cylinders should be checked every brake inspection and serviced or replaced as required.
Inspect the brake lines for rust, punctures or visible leaks (you may be able to do this, but consult a qualified technician if necessary)
The following should be conducted by a qualified technician:Rotors and Friction designed for police vehicles.
