High volume Hi-Tech oil Pump constructed with a deeper oil pocket and a wider gear which enables the pump to deliver 20 to 25% more volume at the same velocity of pressure as the standard pump. Because these pumps supply more lubricant to the friction sensitive components of the engine, they are recommended in high mileage vehicles in which wear has increased the bearing clearances to such a degree that a standard pump cannot maintain the required oil pressure. Many race prepared engines with their greater clearances also require the use of high volume pumps.
