The Accel Afterburner Switchable Ignition Control delivers up to 60% more energy at the flip of a switch. The ignition control unit with a built-in coil allows choosing between street performance or high output maximum performance at a flip of a switch. There is no necessity to run a separate control box or coil. When extra ignition power needed such as the track or when running a power adder, the switch should be flipped to insure maximum performance. The dwell control circuit with a 7.5 ampere limit ensures optimized energy output throughout the RPM range. In the high output maximum performance mode, the control unit delivers a long duration single spark events deliver up 200 mJ of energy. This unit cannot be used with any type of aftermarket CD or inductive storage ignition system, nor can it be used with a factory type CD ignition system.
