Mr. Gasket Sound Damping Material provides weight to the structure to lower its resonant frequency. Stereo investment is protected with this cost-effective peel and stick vibration damping material. This sound damping material significantly reduces structural fatigue. It is ideally suited for irregular door and floor pans. There are no harsh tar-like odors. It applies to clean sheet metal, fiberglass, wood or plastic surfaces without special tools. Sound damping material can be used on doors, floor pans, roof panels, deck lids, and sheet metal panels, which are prone to flexing as well as marine hulls, sheetmetal hoppers and ducting. Chemical used in this damping material is mineral filled visco-elastic polymer with a black color.
