The TracRac 29056 triple TracVan rack is a convenient, and effective way to maximize the carrying capacity of vans by moving large loads up onto the roof. The rack consists of three crossbar elements that attach to vehicles' rain gutters without having to drill any holes or alter the exterior of the van. Load stops are included for securing items on top of the rails. Expand the Carrying Capacity of Vans by Moving Loads onto the Roof

The TracRac triple TracVan rack is an effective and easy-to-use rack system designed specifically for vans hauling heavy and/or long loads. The rack has a carrying capacity of of 750 lbs. Split between its three 65" crossbars, and supported by four rain gutter corner mounts. Crossbars are constructed of 6063 T-6 aluminum and are forged with an internal web structure. The exterior of the bars have a dual stage powder coat. Together this ensures the bars' durability and corrosion resistance. Crossbars are elliptical in shape and have an airfoil "trip strip" at their front ends. This makes them more aerodynamic, which minimizes possible impacts to gas mileage, and reduces wind noise that is commonly experienced in vehicles with racks. The rack system contains four load stop attachments that install into the T-slot grooves of crossbars. The right angles of load stops and their integrated tie-down loops are designed to provide adjustable contact points along the crossbars for transporting long work-related items such as ladders, lumber and pipe/tube carriers. Each load stop has a rugged quick-release knob that allows it to be moved at will, and securely tightened down in seconds. The elliptical shape of TracVan crossbars, along with their integrated T-slots and load stop tie-downs make them suitable for use in transporting a wide range of recreational items, such as canoes, kayaks, cargo boxes, and so on.

Simple, Damage-free Installation

The TracRac triple TracVan rack features damage-free installation that does not require the drilling of any holes, or the altering of vehicle roofs. The rack's three crossbars are supported by the six corner support brackets (included). Assembled crossbar support sections are spaced at the appropriate distance to each other along the van's rain gutters, and secured using a combination of J-hooks, and mounting hardware (all included). The sloping height of vans with rounded roofs is compensated for with shims inserted between the crossbars and corner support brackets of front and back rack supports, ensuring a level overall rack surface. Installation is intended to be semi-permanent, holding fast at the installed configuration, but easily altered as needed. Mounting hardware shipped with the TracRac triple TracVan includes gutter span extenders which allow the rack to be installed on putty-filled rain gutters without damaging the moisture-sealing properties of the putty.
