The Superwinch H30P is a hydraulic powered winch with a SAE-J-706 first layer rating of 30,000 pounds. Power from the hydraulic system is supplied to the winch's motor, driving a two stage planetary gearbox. The output of the gearbox drives the rope drum, winding in the wire rope in turn pulling or winching a load. The hydraulic motor is fitted with load control valves close coupled to a hydraulically released spring applied safety brake capable of holding the full rated load. The brake will activate automatically to prevent the winch "back-driving " under load. The brake is self adjusting and oil immersed for optimum heat dissipation. The brake linings are of high performance asbestos free material. This winch has a pneumatic free spooling clutch which allows the wire rope to be removed from the drum quickly. The winch is reversible, so the rope can be powered in and out using the directional control valve in the hydraulic circuit.
