OTC 18 inch Flex-View UV Bore Scope can be used to check for leaks in the evaporator, the technician simply drills a 1/ 2 inch hole in the housing top and inserts the Flex-View. The UV dye leak is fluoresced by the Flex-View. It is battery powered and used as a traditional bore scope. The quick detection of leak dye in hard-to-see and reach places and ability to inspect inside components. It confirms leaks where component removal would normally be required so it saves time trying to diagnose A/C evaporator leaks. It inspects the top side of fuel tanks for EVAP leaks without removal thus saves costs by eliminating the need to remove and replace unrelated components. It will work on any type system using fluorescent dye like AC systems, EVAP system, coolant, fuel, engine oil, transmission, and power steering fluid.
