Using the COMP Cams Valve Spring Tester is the only sure way to check valve spring pressure. This tester will handle springs up to 2 inches in diameter and 4.5 inches free height. It reads weight up to 1000 pounds in 5 pound increments. The use of a test springs is highly recommended as the unit can be tested and recalibrated in the field.
