A high performance HEI type ignition module is contained on the distributor itself that produces increased performance, easily outperforming stock and many other aftermarket ignitions. Supplied with full system voltage, the increased output of the internal ignition will smooth out the engines idle, improve starting, and provides a much higher RPM range. Includes adjustable mechanical advance which allows you to tailor the ignition curve along with a vacuum advance for improved fuel economy when used on street applications. This is perfect for upgrading from outdated points style distributors, factory and Mopar ECUs - including the dreaded "Lean Burn", or when space requirements limit using the bulky GM style HEI units. You will do away with the ECU control box, the ballast resistor, and those tangle of wires in the normal Mopar setup. Note that these will require spark plug wires (or a replacement HEI style terminal and boot kit) that accepts the male terminals on the distributor cap end when switching from an application with the typical socket type distributor caps. Recommended for use with ignition coils having 0.5-1.0 Ohms primary resistance.
